Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical ICU position requiring Epic experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in a Medical Surgical ICU within a hospital setting
• 12-bed ICU unit with a patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shifts, 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 to 19:00
• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
• Requires weekend coverage: 6 shifts per 6 week period
• Uses Epic charting system
• Responsible for providing critical care to medical surgical ICU patients
• May be required to work weekends as part of schedule
• Not accepting travel pairs or groups
• A maximum of 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved
• No time off allowed in the first week of orientation

• Current TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Candidates residing within 50 miles or in specified counties are not eligible
• Former permanent staff must have at least a 1 year gap before returning as a traveler
