Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring Level I Trauma and Epic charting experience.

• Work in the ICU of a hospital specializing in Level I Trauma care
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• Patient ratios are 1:2 in a 16-bed, 14-room unit
• Float required to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry as needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• Daily responsibilities include caring for critically ill trauma patients
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved
• No time off allowed during the first week of orientation

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• At least 2 years of ICU experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must not reside in specified local counties or within a 50-mile radius
