Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with Epic experience and a TX or compact license for a dayshift Med-Surg ICU assignment.

• Work in a Medical-Surgical ICU setting
• 12-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00-19:00
• Weekend coverage includes 6 shifts every 6-week period
• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
• Epic charting system used and experience required
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off granted during the first week of orientation
• Coverage of holidays may be required based on schedule
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

• Active TX or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Epic charting experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from facility and not in specified excluded counties
• Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
