Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a TX or compact license, Epic charting experience, and recent travel nursing experience for a Med Surg ICU position.

• Work in a Medical Surgical ICU within a hospital setting
• 12-bed ICU unit with a patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
• Required to float to units of equal or lower acuity
• Must cover 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Uses Epic EMR system, experience required
• Primary responsibilities include the care of critically ill patients in a Medical Surgical ICU
• RTO requests limited to 3 days and none allowed during first week of orientation
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered for this position

• Active TX or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Epic charting experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Former permanent staff must have at least 1 year separation before being eligible as a traveler
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility or in specified counties are not eligible
