Position: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Tyler, TX

We cover multiple NICUs in various locations and are looking for someone with a solid work ethic, professional practice, excellent clinical and communication skills, a love of working with babies and families, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a collaborative setting.

about the opportunity / NICU
  • UT Health East Texas is renowned for its commitment to women's and children's health
  • We have a 9-bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), equipped with the latest technology and resources to provide top-tier care and a 7-bed step down area making 16 total beds
  • Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners during day, NNP in house at night
  • 24‑hour shifts for NNPs, but shifts can be bundled to accommodate scheduling

Responsibilities
  • Delivery attendance
  • Day‑to‑day management of NICU
  • Participate in multi‑disciplinary rounds to provide collaborative, team‑based care of NICU patients, including but not limited to ventilator management, nutrition management, lab review, and meeting with families
  • Help facilitate and manage patient transports of appropriate gestational age for our Level III NICU
Requirements
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • A collaborative and team‑oriented approach to neonatal care
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • State licensure in Texas or eligibility to obtain it
