Position Summary

The Production & Quality Manager at TYM North America will plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. The Production & Quality Manager will have direct oversight of all aspects of the production and quality life cycle of our products, from inventory to shipment at the Tyler TX facility. This position will ensure that processes are efficient, effective, and cost-conscious.

Additionally, the Production & Quality Manager will collaborate with production teams across TYM North America to develop and implement standardized production and quality processes.

Job Functions
  • Develop and implement production strategies aligned with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define production objectives and priorities; as well as with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the entire production process, from raw materials to finish goods and/or services.
  • Monitor and optimize production workflows to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary production team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Implement strategies to maximize production capacity and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the production process.
  • Lead the quality assurance teams to identify and address any product or process issues.
  • Develop and manage production budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize production costs.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure a seamless flow of materials for production.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements in production processes.
  • Integrate innovative technologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the production environment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for production metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, address issues, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Determines labor needs to meet production goals and trains new employees.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Job Qualifications
  • 5+ years in manufacturing or distribution operations and quality control with clearly increasing leadership roles is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering is a plus.
  • Experience managing diverse teams in multiple locations desired.
  • Experience with managing FIFO inventory control.
  • Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing.
  • Advanced MS skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • Adept & comfortable working with personnel from varied corporate levels and cultural backgrounds.
  • Travel (domestic and international), as needed.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • This position is full-time and based in Tyler, TX.
