- UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
- Prepare patients for radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination/treatment by complying with established policies and procedures.
- Organizes and documents all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with radiologists, nursing personnel, and other areas of department to ensure accurate and timely performance of radiology procedures.
- Participates in performance improvement activities by participating in the collection of data for performance improvement activities to ensure quality is consistent with established standards.
- Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development by participating in educational activities to promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Enrolled in an AMA approved Radiology program.
- Knowledge and ability to operate all radiology/imaging equipment.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Completion of 1st year of radiologic technology program.
