Regional Assessment Specialist

Part Time – 1–2 days per week. The role focuses on administering, scoring, and reporting the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule‑Second Edition (ADOS‑2) to help clinicians and physicians make diagnostic and treatment decisions.

Training

Schedule:

First 10 weeks: 3–5 days per week, based on availability. Post‑training (starting Week 10): 1–2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete initial ADOS‑2 training.
  • Administer and score the ADOS‑2 with a high level of reliability.
  • Write concise summaries of ADOS‑2 results for review by clinicians and physicians.
  • Seek consultation for cases where validity might be impacted.
  • Conduct assessments and complete written summaries in a timely fashion.
  • Assist the regional psychologist in oversight tasks to maintain service integrity across the region.
  • Testing will be done at 1–3 clinics within the region; one location per day.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel during training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, school psychology, education acceso a counseling, or related field (required).
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong behavioral observation skills.
  • Good time‑management capabilities.
  • Natural ability to connect with children and parents; engaged and energetic on the floor.
  • Coursework in standardized assessment; related experience preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental differences preferred.
