** Academic Req:
** Required – Associate degree in Human Services or related field or a certification in a Health and Human Services area with applicable experience.  Preferred –Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field

* Work Experience:

** Minimum of 2 years in a health and human services role actively assisting clients.

Preferred 2 years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred. Familiarity with ICF standards and PCC (Point Click Care ) documentation strongly preferred.

* Position Summary:

** This is a PRN or As Needed position. Shift can maybe between 8 hours up to full-time, beginning Sunday at 3:30 PM and ending Friday at 10:00 AM each week. The House Manager - PRN is required to reside on campus during this time and provide consistent supervision, support, and leadership within the home. A private, unfurnished 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment is provided as part of the compensation package.

Residents attend day program Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, during which time the House Manager - PRN may use the day for personal use unless needing to shop, attend meetings, or complete other House Manager - PRN responsibilities. However, when day program is closed, the House Manager - PRN is expected to provide direct support and supervision to residents during daytime hours as well.

* Summary:

** The House Manager - PRN is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a group home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures a safe, person-centered, and supportive environment, coordination and direction of the Assistant House Manger’s (AHM) efforts for a seamless transition, and works in close partnership with clinical teams, families, and leadership. The position is PRN/As Needed, hourly, and required to live onsite while on shift, in the included private, 1 bedroom, 1-bath apartment.

To successfully perform this job, the employee may be expected to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990:
** Essential Functions*
* • Provide direction, coordination and support to AHM, ensuring smooth handoffs and consistent care.  
• Assist each resident in achieving their active treatment goals, providing coaching and support through all interactions, and documenting in PCC.  
• Act as the lead staff in the home, supporting household routines, health care needs, and implementation of care plans.  
• Promote independence and offer meaningful choices to each resident.  
• Assist residents as needed with hygiene, grooming, laundry, housekeeping, and meal preparation using established menus.  
• Transport residents to events, appointments, and errands in accordance with BV’s transportation protocols.  
• Attend and contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning sessions.  
• Submit timely maintenance requests and ensure the home is clean, well-maintained, and safe.  
• Conduct and document required safety and emergency preparedness drills.  
• Advocate for resident rights and model professional, respectful communication at all times.  
• Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely in PCC.  
• Enter and approve time records for AHM as scheduled.  
• Maintain and track monthly household budget including groceries, supplies, and resident activity funds.  
• Provide opportunities for residents to participate in community outings such as shopping, dining, or recreation as part of active treatment.  
• Communicate regularly with the Program Director, QIDP, and other support teams regarding resident needs.  
• Maintain compliance with all applicable BV policies and state/federal regulations (CMS, HHSC, DFPS, etc.).
