PURPOSE OF POSITIONAssists WIC Program professionals in clinics teaching low risk nutrition classes, providing clerical support, and performing some laboratory tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Answers telephone and greet participants in a courteous and timely manner.
- Makes appointments accurately.
- Correctly figures income and address eligibility.
- Fills out forms completely and accurately.
- Accurately maintains manual and automated inventory.
- Completes assigned filing on a timely weekly basis.
- Prepares charts for designated categories.
- Accurately performs laboratory tasks.
- Assists in outreach activities.
- Consults with supervisor on uncommon requests and follows his/her recommendation.
- Participates in community health promotion efforts through teaching and counseling community groups.
- Documents services provided promptly and on correct record forms.
- Reviews charts at end of clinic to be sure all recording is complete and signed.
