Education: Required – Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.

Preferred – Additional Certifications Or Training (e.g., Safe Care, Trauma-informed Care).

Experience: Required – 1-2 years of experience providing direct counseling services.

Preferred – Experience working with specific populations (e.g., at-risk youth, survivors of violence).

Licenses/certifications: LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, or LMSW

Job Summary:

The Clinician is responsible for providing quality counseling services to clients, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to program goals.

Essential Functions:

• Counseling:
• Assess client needs and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions using various therapeutic approaches.
• Monitor client progress and update treatment plans.
• Program Contributions:
• Facilitate training and workshops.
• Participate in outreach and community events.
• Contribute to grant reports and data analysis.
• Case Management:
• Manage assigned projects and staff.
• Complete documentation and data entry.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect.
• Professional Development:
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and consultations.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications.

Measurable Deliverables:

• Meet federal and state regulatory guidelines.
• Provide counseling hours and services to clients.
• Complete client assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry.
• Participate in outreach and community events.
• Submit reports and attend required meetings.
• Demonstrate the ability to:
• Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
• Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Travel as needed.
• Other job duties as assigned per grant requirements.

Requirements:

• Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and CPR.
• Valid Texas Driver’s license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.
• Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
• Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
