Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Job Goals
  • To maintain an atmosphere in the residence halls that is conducive to living and learning. Assists in projects designed to enhance the quality of student life for residence hall students.
Primary Responsibilities
  • The residence center manager is responsible for the daily administration of the residence hall facilities, operations and programs;
  • Completes room assignments during scheduled pre-housing;
  • Attend staff meetings;
  • Works closely with the residence life director in making and filing various reports;
  • Establish an environment within the hall that is friendly, pleasant and conducive to study and living;
  • Greet guests, parents and other visitors and assist them in locating friends and relatives;
  • Serve as immediate supervisors for student staff workers and make periodic reports to the director of residence life regarding student staff worker performance;
  • Secure the residence hall exit and entrance doors during the hours of his/her shift and record all incidents on the Daily Log;
  • Demonstrate professional ethics in all situations;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
