Part‑Time Wound Care Specialist (1–3 days per week) to work in the Tyler, TX area. Qualified candidates will round at multiple facilities within a designated territory, providing wound care in skilled nursing and assisted living settings.
Qualifications- Active state medical license (MD/DO)
- Board Certification preferred in Family Practice or Internal Medicine (General Practitioners welcome)
- Valid state driver’s license
- Weekday commitment only: no on‑call, evenings or weekends
- Deliver bedside wound care in post‑acute settings
- Round daily at multiple facilities
- No supervisory duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, focusing on wound‑risk factors
- Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound‑care plan
- Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressings
- Educate nursing staff and maintain communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required
- Order necessary medications and provide clear usage instructions
- Provide quality care to the geriatric patient population
