Senior Division Order Analyst
Job summary
The position of Sr Division Order Analyst will be in Mewbourne Oil Company's Tyler, Texas corporate office. The Sr Division Order Analyst is responsible for complex title and ownership analysis, division order deck accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This role serves as the subject matter expert for advanced ownership issues, leads division order projects, and provides technical guidance and mentorship to division order analysts.
The position ensures accurate revenue distribution and timely resolution of ownership and payment matters.
Key Responsibilities
Title & Ownership Analysis
- Conduct and review complex title analysis including multi-tract, pooled unit, take-in-kind and working interest scenarios.
- Interpret title defects, curative documents, and regulatory filings to resolve ownership disputes.
- Investigate and resolve complex ownership and payment issues, ensuring timely and accurate responses to interest owner inquiries.
- Collaborate with landmen, attorneys, and third parties to obtain curative documentation and resolve title defects.
- Oversee setup and maintenance of complex division of interest decks, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Manage suspense accounts and lead ownership reconciliation projects.
- Serve as subject matter expert for division order and title matters.
- Provide guidance to accounting, land, and legal teams on title and ownership matters.
- Lead training and mentorship for analysts.
- Deep knowledge of title examination, curative requirements, and regulatory processes throughout New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma.
- Advanced proficiency in division order systems and complex ownership setup.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex title and payment disputes independently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and high accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive division order or title experience, including complex multi-tract and pooled unit ownership structures.
- A strong understanding of real property and probate laws in New Mexico, Texas, or Oklahoma is preferred.
- Advanced experience using Quorum software or comparable division order systems required.
