Overview
- Floating:
Possible to Med/Surg units (rotational)
- 69-bed hospital
- Primary Stroke Center
- Community-focused facility with strong ICU fundamentals
- 6 ICU beds
- 12 Stepdown beds
- First-time travelers:
Accepted upon review - ICU: 1:1 – 1:3
- Stepdown: 1:4 – 1:5
- Medical/Surgical ICU & Stroke
- Sepsis, DKA, ARDS
- ETOH / IVDA
- Post-op critical patients
- COVID
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Ventilator management
- Tracheostomy care
- Chest tube management
- Experience with general Med/Surg patients
- CNA ratio: 1:10
- Hospitalist:
On-site 24/7 - Tele monitoring:
Centralized with tele tech - Phlebotomy: RN draws
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps:
Alaris - Medication Dispensing:
Pyxis
- 1 orientation shift to learn unit flow
- Scrubs:
Any color - Parking:
Free - PPE:
Adequate PPE provided - Holidays:
Required if they fall during the assignment
