Cutting & Bindery Operator

1:00pm - 9:30pm, Monday-Friday with 30-minute lunch break. 40 hours per week minimum, guaranteed. During training, early AM (4am-12:30pm) or main shift hours (8am-4:30pm) will be required.

• Set up and operate bindery or trimming machines according to work order
• Maintain an organized work environment
• Assist in collating/inserting color printed pages
• Follow all quality control procedures and check all work for accuracy.
• Report and consult with staff when inaccuracies are found to ensure revisions are made properly and in a timely manner.
• Lift and load paper to machine and remove from machines and carts
• Must meet schedules and tight deadlines while being responsible for ensuring quality work.
• Work closely with other team members to exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule including occasional over-time on weekends.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Operate pallet jacks to transport paper as needed
• Other duties as assigned.

• Able to troubleshoot minor issues and make adjustments to machine setup
• Machine operating experience

• Bindery equipment operating experience a plus.

Standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. Continuous vision. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. to move palletized loads or carts of books. Possible reaching, twisting, and gripping up to 25 lbs. to move paper stock. Occasional crouching and use of hand tools during routine machine maintenance.

Weekend or overtime hours may be required during peak production times. We're looking for someone who can consistently work their scheduled shift with excellent attendance.

We do hardcover (case bound), perfect bound (soft cover), plastic coil bound and saddle stitch binding.
