Job Duties:
- Carry out regular checks and maintenance on printing press machinery, aiming for peak efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Quickly identify and solve mechanical, electrical, and technical problems with the equipment, applying fixes swiftly to avoid operational delays.
- Implement preventive maintenance plans following the guidelines set by manufacturers and industry standards, thus enhancing the longevity and reliability of our machines.
- Work closely with our production team to assess maintenance needs, plan repair schedules without hampering productivity, and efficiently allocate tasks to keep everything on track.
- Employ diagnostic tools and refer to manuals and technical guides to resolve complex issues, ensuring the presses are up and running efficiently.
- Document all maintenance activities meticulously, logging the work done, parts utilized, and the current status of equipment, and report these findings to the management regularly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols during maintenance procedures to foster a secure environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Mentor and provide direction to junior technicians and production staff on maintaining equipment safely and effectively.
- Keep abreast of the latest technological trends and advancements in printing press maintenance, integrating this knowledge into your daily tasks.
- Maintain compliance with ISO standards for operational excellence and quality control.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts judiciously to ensure maintenance tasks can be executed without delays.
What You'll Need
- A technical degree from a reputable institution coupled with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, particularly with printing press machinery.
- A proven track record of diagnosing and fixing complex mechanical and electrical systems, supported by a strong mechanical aptitude.
- The ability to understand technical documents, schematics, and blueprints to effectively troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Sharp problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a systematic approach to determining the root cause of failures and crafting suitable solutions.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management, and external vendors.
- Independence in managing tasks and collaborating with a team to meet collective goals.
- Normal color vision and visual acuity are essential for performing job responsibilities.
- A high level of personal integrity, the capability to handle hazardous materials safely, and self-motivation to work diligently within a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge in PLC, AC/DC, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems is crucial.
- All candidates must pass a drug test and criminal background check as a condition of employment.
