Position Summary

The Project Engineer will manage complex design tasks, utilizing Inventor software to create product designs that align with equipment capabilities, construction methods, labor resources, and a wide variety of materials in the store fixture and display industry. This position plays a key role in collaborating with customers and the Project Management team to identify cost‑saving opportunities and contribute innovative, value‑added ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Project Management to develop new fixtures as required for client approval using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Execute returned redlined drawings from clients, implementing necessary changes and updates.
  • Develop production drawings with correct features for CNC programming and generate Bill of Materials (BOM) using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineers to prepare or oversee the creation of product specifications.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to determine design, material, and engineering requirements.
  • Create cutting bills and CNC programs for required parts as necessary.
  • Prepare work orders, stock requisitions for purchasing, and bills of materials for ERP systems.
  • Maintain close communication with the shop regarding product manufacturing processes.
  • Update drawings related to product development, construction, and installation as changes occur.
  • Inform the shop of any revisions to the bill of materials.
  • Directly support plant personnel during the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any technical issues.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of direct industry experience in Store Fixture & Display, Manufacturing, or Woodworking
  • 3-5 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor/Solid Works and CNC programming
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make independent decisions
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office, and experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or Design preferred
