Position Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our team. The accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and yearend close processes, and assisting with compliance and reporting requirements. Success in this role demands a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the capacity to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy, including job costing and inventory processing
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare schedules and reports to support financial statement preparation
  • Provide documentation and analysis to support audit requests
  • Assist with compliance reporting, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
  • Contribute recommendations to improve financial processes and efficiency
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis as assigned
  • Work effectively in a team environment and support colleagues and supervisors as needed
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with co-workers, supervisors, and external stakeholders
  • Adhere to company policies, safety practices, and GAAP standards
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance
  • Be available for limited travel and occasional evening/weekend work during peak periods
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Proven experience in accounting or a related financial role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP) preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Accountability and ownership of assigned work
  • Adaptability in a changing environment
  • Initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively by phone and in person
  • Regular use of computer systems for accounting, reporting, and communication
  • Prolonged periods of sitting
