• Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with product selection.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming department environment.
• Check product quality, review sell‑by dates, and appropriately handle expired items.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Recommend grocery items to customers, inform them of specials.
• Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions and incidents.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations, maintain temperature logs for cooler cases.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork.

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.

• Any retail experience.
• Proficiency in a second language.
• Ability to educate customers on product knowledge and provide recommendations.
• Current knowledge of product quality and freshness standards.
• Strong inventory and ordering management skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
• Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
