• Current food handlers permit once employed

• Comparable Retail experience
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing)

• Assist with the preparation of produce platters/trays
• Inform customers of produce specials and respond to product questions
• Recommend items to ensure customers get the products they want
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads
• Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
• Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks
• Report safety risks or illegal activity to store management
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict constructively
