Overview
In this role, you will serve as a lead wildland firefighter and member of a fuels crew. You will be responsible to supervise and coordinate a workforce who performs project work with changing priorities due to the nature of the work (scheduled fuels treatments preempted by wildland fire or adverse weather conditions, wildland fire duties on and off district).
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate a fuels crew and project work with changing priorities.
- Direct assigned suppression operations and ensure firefighter safety, fire behavior awareness, and appropriate response to topography, weather, and fuels.
- Understanding of firefighter safety, fire behavior, topography of the area, weather, and fuels.
- Training in fire management and experience directing suppression operations.
