Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN – Southern Idaho
(Level III NICU | EPIC | First-Time Travelers Accepted)
🏥 Unit Overview- 11 L&D Rooms (double as triage rooms)
- 2 C-Section Suites on the unit
- 2 PACU Recovery Bays
- 17 Postpartum (PP/MB) Beds
- Level III NICU – Stabilize & ship out babies under 30 weeks
- 5–6 deliveries/day
- 150–180 deliveries/month
- 4–5 triage patients/day (non-admits)
- 1:1 Intrapartum
- 1:1–3 Antepartum
- 1:3–4 Postpartum/Mother-Baby
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or Advanced)
OR NCC Fetal Monitoring Certification
- RNs do titrate drips
- Common drips:
- Pitocin
- Magnesium
- Insulin (Insulin gtt experience preferred; willing to train)
- Minimum 2 years L&D experience
- Some Postpartum experience required
- Comfortable floating between L&D & PP/MB
- High-risk OB experience
- Must circulate in C-sections
- Epic experience (please note last used date)
- Will NOT accept Critical Access-only experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Prefer similar-sized L&D/PP department experience
- CST in-house 24/7
- CNAs in PP/MB (vitals, ADLs, baths, glucose checks, etc.)
- Tele Techs in-house
- RT available 24/7
- CRNA in-house 24/7
- OB onsite days (Mon–Fri), on-call nights
- Neonatologist onsite days;
Neo APP at night - Charge RN typically does NOT take assignments
- Resource Nurse available when possible
- EMR: Epic
- EFM System: Epic CPN & GE Connect
- RNs not required to interpret tele strips but must recognize rhythm changes
- 7a–7p or 7p–7a
- Schedule made 6 weeks at a time
- Block scheduling considered (not guaranteed)
- Cannot work more than 5 shifts consecutively
- Travelers expected to help fill scheduling gaps

Every Other Weekend (Sat & Sun) - Nights:
Fri & Sat (as needed)
- Days:
- Holiday rotation possible
- May be called off if needed
- Travelers first to float for sitter shifts
