Position: HVAC Technician I

Part-time registered nursing (RN) clinical instructors teach nursing theory and guide students through on-campus and/or off-campus clinical experiences. Part-time RN instructors assist students in their journey to become professional nurses. Instructors also act as role models to students, nurses, and members of the college community. Efforts to improve instruction, student relationships, and student retention are expected. Instructors at the College of Southern Idaho are expected to be prepared, enthusiastic, and committed to the ideal that all students can and will learn given an educational environment that is stimulating, compassionate and equitable.

Shifts may include 4-9 hour on-campus simulation instruction and/or 8-12 hour off-campus clinical instruction.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time RN Clinical Instructor

Work in on-campus and/or off-campus clinical locations.

Correct assignments, submit grades to course coordinator, and maintain accurate and confidential student records.

Work on a team, lending ideas, expertise and new clinical practices to the team.

Evaluate and coach students according to the policies of the ADN program;
Follow established guidelines set forth in the curriculum.

Function as a professional nurse and role model to students, recognizing the responsibility to represent the ADN Program and CSI while functioning in the clinical agency and to the public in general.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor of Nursing Degree required.

A current and unencumbered license to practice nursing in the State of Idaho.

Emotional and physical health to enable full participation in the classroom and clinical areas.

Expertise as a nurse clinician.

Evidence of achieving positive student relationships.

Ability to work as a team member.

Willingness to communicate effectively with a team.

Follow the established procedures and policies located in the CSI Faculty Handbook and the ADN Student Handbook.

Hourly Rate may increase based on experience and education level.
