Position: Advanced Engineer (HGV/PSV Technician Level 3) Nights

Overview

Advanced Engineer (HGV/PSV Technician Level
3) Nights at Transport UK London Bus. We are looking for an innovative, self-starting individual with a passion for working in the busy and dynamic bus industry. Join our Engineering team with a shift pattern of 4 nights on and 4 nights off. 5 day shifts are also available.

Location: Twickenham Depot

Department: Engineering

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting, repairing and maintaining our buses.
  • Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
  • Recording faults and the work completed to fix them, using a tablet.
  • Following safety instructions and reporting any issues.
Qualifications
  • Have at least an NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification) or at least five years’ experience repairing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles (evidence required).
  • If you do not currently hold an IRTEC in service maintenance technician, inspection technician and advanced technician, training will be provided.
  • PCV licence is desired but not essential. Training to drive our buses can be provided.
  • Have a good standard of Maths and English; ability to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
  • Know how to use fleet management technical computer systems.
  • Be a good team player and able to meet deadlines; flexible to work at different depots or shifts.
  • Be willing to undertake training as required by the service manager and to work with initiative.
  • Be safety-conscious in everything you do.
