Pay – Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We aim to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a flexible option of as few as 12 hours.
The availability window shown above is the period within which we would like you to be available. You will receive 3‑week notice of your specific shifts. If your own availability is close to, but not exactly matching the windows, we still welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities- Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, helping customers move through the shop smoothly.
- Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
- Listen to customers and help ensure they leave with everything they came for.
- Identify ways to improve service, coaching colleagues and giving feedback.
- Guide and support colleagues in‑store, maintaining safety and a welcoming environment.
- Understand store performance, assisting managers in delivering actions to improve operations.
- Lead from the front and set a great example for everyone.
- Must be 18 or over (and meet any specific age requirement for early shifts or certain areas).
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a proactive mindset.
- Social responsibility and a commitment to improving customer, colleague, and community experiences.

Additional InformationThis role requires the consistent application of health and safety routines and the ability to work during various hours, including after 6:15am or before 9:45pm, and to perform duties in the warehouse, beer, wine & spirits, counters, bakery, and driving roles.
