• Facilitate service user choice and empowerment by promoting independence and strength‑based practice.
• Assist with budget management, ensuring timely and effective processes including authorising assessments and arranging necessary funding for individual support plans.
• Undertake statutory interventions where service users are at risk, including cases of neglect or abuse, and chair Section 42 Safeguarding Adults Enquiries when required.
• Provide operational and motivational leadership to staff, fostering a positive working environment to deliver high‑quality services.
• Offer regular, formal professional supervision for practitioners in line with Council policies, legislation, and professional standards.
• Manage the duty team and oversee all incoming referrals and safeguarding concerns.
