Position: PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER (OA) with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will serve as the Public Safety Dispatcher in the E-911 Dispatch Center located aboard the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC).
* You will provide emergency police, fire and medical services by answering incoming emergency telephone calls via 911 and other emergency lines - and responding by properly categorizing the call, and determining the appropriate public safety response.
* You will monitor status and availability of police, fire and medical field units to assure an appropriate response is made without the compromise of the quality of services to the public.
* You will refer non-emergency callers to appropriate civilian and governmental agencies.
* You will maintain report and retrieve needed statistical information using the fire incident reporting system(s) as directed by local authority.
* You will monitor flight line security system cameras and buried line system (BLS). Controls entrance and exit gates and turn styles to secured areas.
* You will monitor base wide computerized fire alarm system, determining type of alarm and appropriate response.
* You will maintain and updates databases that list planned electrical outages, street closures and hydrant outages. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* Must be capable of obtaining certification for Hazardous Material Awareness. Employee has 90 days from their entrance on duty to obtain certification.
* Must be capable of obtaining a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and maintain the certification by recertifying every 2 years. Employee has 6 months from their entrance on duty to obtain certification
* Must be capable of obtaining a First Aid certification and maintained continuously without lapse throughout employment. Employee has 12 months from their entrance on duty to obtain certification.
* Must be capable of obtaining a Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMDs) certification and maintained continuously without lapse throughout employment. Employee has 12 months from their entrance on duty to obtain certification.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
