Position: Lead Testing Technician
Location: Orange County, CA
Pay Range: $33 – $38/HR
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
We are seeking an experienced Lead Testing Technician to oversee and support a team responsible for testing and inspecting fire protection and life safety systems. This role requires a strong technical background in fire alarm systems along with proven leadership experience. The Lead Technician will ensure testing and inspection activities are completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of technicians performing testing and inspections of fire and life safety systems.
- Conduct inspections and testing of standpipes, fire pumps, fire doors, elevator recall systems, and other fire life safety devices.
- Test and inspect wet, dry, and pre‑action fire protection systems.
- Ensure all testing and documentation complies with NFPA standards and Title 19 reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support to field technicians as needed.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- 5+ years of experience testing fire alarm systems.
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and Title 19 reporting requirements.
- Ability to lead teams and manage field operations effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Work hours may vary based on project needs. Candidates must be flexible and able to work nights, weekends, on‑call shifts, and overtime as required.
Additional Information- Position requires reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally within Orange County

- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
