Laboratory Technician - Organic Prep; Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest

Job Description

Eurofins Environmental Testing Southwest (Tustin, CA) is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to perform sample preparation for soil and water analysis.

• Evaluate backlog and prioritize daily workload.
• Retrieve and weigh samples, prepare aliquots.
• Document preparation details and observations.
• Prepare reagents and standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment per QA program.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety policies.
• Wash glassware as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Communicate status, rush ETA, and sample issues with manager and team.
• Assist other lab areas as necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High school chemistry coursework and basic laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely.
• Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to work one of the following shifts:
  Monday‑Friday 1pm‑10pm;
  Tuesday‑Saturday 1pm‑10pm;
  Tuesday‑Saturday 2am‑11am (eligible for 10% shift differential).

• General chemistry or science knowledge.
• Basic math, problem‑solving, multitasking, and independence.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and self‑motivation.

Compensation range: $18–$22 per hour. Full‑time position with possible overtime and weekends. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, vacation, personal days, and paid time off.
