Human Resources Business Partner II - Greater LAThe pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates.
Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

* * What You’ll Be Doing
** The Human Resources Business Partner II serves as their business unit's first HR point of contact, serving team members and leadership to ensure World-Class for our Members. The HRBP II is both strategic and tactical. Acting as a strategic partner to leadership, contributing expert people knowledge to the development and implementation of the business unit's strategy, while ensuring that team members experience a high level of service.
This is achieved by understanding the unit's unique function and offering tailored people solutions. This position is responsible for learning, understanding and focusing on significant issues critical to the organization's success. Provides guidance in the areas of compensation, benefits, team member relations, leaves of absence, performance management, and credit union policies. Provides support in the development and implementation of human resources projects, reports and process improvement for assigned business units.
Advises management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities and offers solutions for continuing improvement of team member performance and the performance of the human resources department. Coordinates various personnel practices, policy, and employment laws to ensure the credit union's overall compliance.
* Act as the primary contact for team members and leaders in the greater Los Angeles area and San Gabriel Valley providing HR support with sensitivity and confidentiality. Collaborate as a trusted partner in current and emerging HR processes.
* Enhance and maintain effective partnerships within HR, act as a liaison between the business units and the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).
* Under general supervision offer informed viewpoints on human resources and organization policies to leadership that contributes to the development and execution of organizational priorities, drive effective impactful outcomes for the Credit Union to, and enhance division performance.
* Manage and resolve team member relations and leaves of absence concerns in partnership with Team member Relations.
* Conduct exit interviews and provides feedback to management on areas of improvement.
* Counsel team members concerning work-related grievances.
* Provides input into HR processes and activities, offering recommendations to management for effective human resources process improvements.
* Collects, analyzes and interprets data specific to area of support to identify trends and gain valuable insights and provide comprehensive solutions. Develop detailed presentations and deliver actionable recommendations.
* Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development).
* Provides guidance and input on workforce planning and talent management. Partners with HRBP Manager on business unit restructures and succession planning.
* Engage in business unit meetings and actively contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.

* Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions
** Qualifications
* ** High School Diploma or GED required
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience or additional experience in a related field required
* 3-5 years of previous Human Resources experience required
* Focus on business partnership preferred
* PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
* Valid CA Driver’s License and participation in the CA DMV pull program may be required depending on assignment
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Use of project management software is preferred.
* Workday experience is preferred.
* Proficient with Microsoft 365 products.
* Ability to connect HR data to overall business goals and strategies.
* Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
* Change Management experience preferred.
* Ability to work independently and as a team.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills required.
