Overview
Moment of Clarity is seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist with a strong emphasis on group facilitation to join our dynamic outpatient mental health team. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who thrives in a collaborative, group-focused treatment environment.
This role is primarily responsible for planning, facilitating, and leading therapeutic group sessions for individuals receiving mental health treatment. In addition to group work, the Therapist will maintain a small individual caseload and contribute to treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate is confident leading groups, engaging diverse participants, and fostering a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities- Serve as a primary facilitator of therapeutic group sessions, delivering structured, engaging, and clinically appropriate groups aligned with program goals
- Plan, prepare, and implement group curricula addressing mental health and behavioral health needs
- Maintain a limited individual caseload, including conducting diagnostic evaluations and supporting individualized treatment goals as assigned
- Develop and contribute to treatment plans based on clinical assessments and group participation
- Utilize motivational interviewing and evidence-based behavioral interventions in both group and individual settings
- Create an inclusive, supportive, and therapeutic group environment that promotes participation and progress
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with case managers, clinical leadership, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care
- Support clients in navigating mental health and behavioral health challenges within a group-focused treatment model
- Participate in quality improvement or program development initiatives to enhance group programming and outcomes
- Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience facilitating therapeutic groups in an inpatient or outpatient mental health setting strongly preferred
- Experience balancing group facilitation responsibilities with a small individual caseload
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and clinical documentation standards
- Training or experience in motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, and group therapy modalities preferred
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and engage groups effectively
