The Senior Financial Data Analyst is a strategic partner, transforming complex financial and operational data into actionable insights that drive business performance. This role combines strong accounting expertise with advanced analytical capabilities to enhance reporting, improve processes, and support informed decision‑making across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a logical and innovative thinker who can take a small idea or problem and turn it into a scalable, actionable solution. They are process‑oriented, analytically rigorous, and motivated to continuously improve systems and workflows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as a key partner in the monthly close and reporting processes, collaborating with cross‑functional accounting teams to gather inputs and analyze data to monitor company and departmental KPIs
- Lead the design and enhancement of automated reporting workflows using advanced data tools (e.g., Excel modeling, ETL processes, BI platforms) to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Develop, automate, and maintain financial reporting packages to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Property Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and IT to maintain data integrity, troubleshoot reporting issues, and ensure alignment across systems
- Develop and present operational and economic models that inform strategic decisions and business planning
- Design and manage dashboards and reporting tools that deliver timely, actionable financial and operational insights
- Provide clear, data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership to support informed decision‑making
- Contribute to business case development, special projects, and ad hoc financial analyses
- Continuously evaluate and improve data collection methods, reporting processes, and analytical workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Cross‑train and collaborate with other analysts to strengthen team capabilities and promote knowledge sharing
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and complex data analysis
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience in data analysis and data mining
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence decision‑making through data‑driven recommendations
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS Finance, or related field)
- Experience with data automation, scripting, or ETL processes
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with SQL
- Familiarity with the real estate industry
- Experience with Yardi or similar ERP systems
- Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to stand and move; use hands to grasp, squeeze, finger, handle, and feel; reach, push, and pull with hands and arms; occasionally required to twist; reach overhead; stoop, kneel, squat, bend, and crouch.
- Occasionally lift, carry, and move up to 10 pounds.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
