Overview
Customer Sales Representative – Tuscaloosa, AL – Onsite. Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence division seeks a Customer Sales Representative to contribute to territory sales targets and customer success within the Hexagon portfolio of sensors, measurement technologies, factory automation, simulation, and analytics tools.
Position SummaryThe Customer Sales Representative is responsible for achieving assigned territory sales targets while managing day-to-day activities that enable customer success. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, understanding customer needs, and driving growth through proactive engagement and service. The role works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure long-term customer value and business success at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities- Own and achieve assigned territory sales targets and develop account plans to maximize revenue growth.
- Maintain consistent, value-driven customer interactions via phone, email, text, or traditional mail; document all activities in CRM systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying risks.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Operations teams to align strategies and execution.
- Partner with assigned Outside Sales Representatives to develop and execute joint territory and customer plans.
- Work with customers to anticipate business and market changes and align solutions to support their growth.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting through CRM tools.
- Minimum of three (3) customer conversations per quarter with customers active on SMA.
- Meet or exceed assigned territory revenue targets.
- Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in service-related or account management, inside sales, or customer-facing sales roles (preferred).
- Strong ability to manage a sales territory and prioritize multiple customer accounts.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
This position operates in a professional office or hybrid work environment within the United States. The role requires regular use of computers, phones, and virtual communication tools. Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings or internal collaboration.
