Join a dedicated team on the Heart Failure / Stroke Unit in vibrant Tuscaloosa, Alabama (35401). This 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializes in caring for patients with complex neurological and cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke. You'll work alongside experienced telemetry nurses, cardiologists, and neurologists, delivering compassionate, high-quality cardiac nursing and neurology nursing care in a collaborative environment.

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry / Telemetry RN
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job (13 weeks)
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Heart Failure / Stroke Unit)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (19:00–07:00) – Night shift Telemetry RN
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/13/2026 – End: 7/12/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,840–$1,940/week
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
• Parking: Available on site
• EMR: Meditech (Meditech EMR experience preferred)

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact Nurse Licensure Interstate Compact (NLC) state (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience)
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac telemetry, and stroke care preferred
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

• Provide expert, patient-centered care to patients with neurological and cardiac diagnoses, including congestive heart failure and acute stroke
• Continuous telemetry monitoring, interpret heart rhythms, and respond to cardiac events
• Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiologists, neurologists, and advanced practice providers
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR and follow hospital documentation standards
• Float to other units or hospitals as required; work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Adhere to best practice standards, ACLS protocols, and deliver compassionate care to diverse patient populations
