RN CSICU/CSU

Our Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) is a four 4‑bed unit that directs its resources principally towards the care of adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular and other surgical conditions requiring critical care located on 4 North. The care of these patients is primarily focused on post‑operative recovery and providing complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency.

CSU is an 8‑bed stepdown unit. The stepdown unit focuses on the care and recovery of patients after cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. Both units are supported by a cardiovascular educator. Together we specialize in the patient‑centered approach to care. Our team is dedicated to making our patient’s experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment.
