The LPN facilitates quality patient care within the scope of licensure.
Additional Department SummaryThis position is a contingent on-call position. Provides direct nursing care to residents. Delegates and supervises the care provided by resident assistants. Administers medications. Performs treatments and procedures. Obtains specimens as needed. Completes documentation as required.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Alabama in good standing.
Additional Required DepartmentMinimum Qualifications
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Must successfully complete health screening once post-offer of employment is made.
Skills and KnowledgeKnowledge of the Alabama Department of Public Health Rules & Regulations for Assisted Living and Specialty Care Assisted Living. Knowledge of Dementia Education, Care and Training (DETA) and dementia in the elderly. Knowledge of the DETA Brain series, pharmacological management of dementia, the Dementia Assessment series provided by DETA, or equivalent training approved by the State Health Officer.
Preferred QualificationsHigh School diploma or the equivalent. One year of experience working as a licensed practical nurse.
