Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele General Surgery
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week | Holidays as required | Every other weekend
Setting: Med-Surg / Telemetry – General Surgical Unit

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN to join the General Surgical Unit (5S) in Tuscaloosa, AL. This 32-bed unit specializes in post-operative care for general surgical patients. Nurses on this unit typically care for six patients and are trained in all aspects of recovery, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. The team works closely with surgeons, hospitalists, and family practice physicians to deliver a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing

Licensure: Active RN license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted)

Certifications:

BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

Experience:

Two years preferred

Will consider 18 months with at least one year in the specialty

Additional:

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
