About

The Role

Talented Medical Solutions (TMS) is seeking an experienced MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a Respiratory Unit travel assignment in Tuscaloosa, AL. This 42-bed unit specializes in both acute and chronic respiratory conditions, while also caring for patients with GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and post-surgical needs.

Nurses on this unit typically manage a 1:6 ratio, with an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit at a 1:4 ratio. Interdisciplinary team rounds occur daily to support patient care and collaboration. Flexibility is required, as RNs must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.

Requirements

• Active Alabama RN License or Compact RN License (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Current NURSYS verification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year in specialty)

Assignment Details

• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Every other weekend & holidays required
• 13–26 week contracts available
• Float required across units and hospitals
