Position Details
We’re seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join the Stroke Unit in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This is a travel assignment offering flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a highly skilled team dedicated to providing exceptional neuro-cardiac care.
Assignment Information- Pay Rate: $50/hour
- Shift: Nights
- Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Holidays: As required
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Duration: 13 weeks
This 42-bed Heart Failure/Stroke Unit specializes in caring for patients with both neurological and cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke. Nurses on this team manage a 1:6 patient ratio and work collaboratively with cardiologists and neurologists to deliver top-quality, evidence-based care for complex neuro-cardiac cases.
RequirementsEducation: Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
Licensure: Active Alabama RN license or Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
Certifications: AHA or Red Cross BLS
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience (will consider 18 months with 1 year in specialty)
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed
