Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator II oversees marketing, promotion, and publicity functions for a college, division, or the University. Creates and implements marketing strategies using advertising, media, direct mail, etc. Coordinates production of materials specified in marketing plans and calendars. Consults with product and/or program development.

Additional Department Summary

The Marketing Coordinator II works within Strategic Communications to support the division’s contribution to the University’s strategic plan. Creates and manages email marketing campaigns, coordinates content curation for those campaigns by working with cross-functional departments (photography, graphic design, web, etc.). Utilizes Slate CRM for email distribution, reporting and other tasks. Provides additional tactical marketing support, including but not limited to implementation of paid digital campaigns, reporting via Microsoft Excel and, Power BI, Looker Studio or other data visualization tools, and creative problem-solving regarding overarching Admissions goals.

Works collaboratively with the Office of Enrollment Management and with other Marketing team members to plan and execute marketing activities for Undergraduate Admissions.

Required

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience; OR master’s degree and some marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidates must demonstrate experience effectively and efficiently producing content, performing editing and proofreading, working as part of a team and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of professional writing styles will be important as candidates must be able to master AP and UA Editorial Style.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience copywriting, editing, proofreading; excellent oral and written communication skills, fluency with business computer use and industry relevant applications, and reporting outcomes. Experience executing and measuring email drip campaigns, building dashboards using data visualization tools such as Google, Looker Studio or Power BI, writing marketing copy, coordinating documentation for payments, managing corporate social media identities, client communications, managing tasks using project management applications such as Basecamp, and web content management.
