Position SummaryThe Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) and the Lee J. Styslinger Jr. College of Engineering at the University of Alabama invite applications for tenure‑track positions in Water Resources Engineering. Candidates need research interests in field hydrology, water observing technologies, and hydroinformatics.
Minimum Qualifications- Earned Ph.D. in Architectural, Civil, Construction, or Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated record of prior research work and impactful scholarly publications.
- Demonstrated interest and/or record in engineering education and professional service.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Show potential to construct and sustain a quality research program.
- Exhibit potential for excellent teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Meet all university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
- Record of high‑quality research and scholarly publications recognized nationally or internationally.
- Scholarly experience in architectural, civil, construction, or environmental engineering.
- Post‑doctoral experience or similar post‑graduate experience.
- Attainment, progress toward, or demonstrated interest in professional licensure (FE or PE).
- Exceptional collegial, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
