Job SummaryThe Accounting Assistant I maintains accurate financial records. Provides entry-level accounting and bookkeeping support. Resolves routine questions and problems.
Additional Department SummaryProcesses invoices on purchase orders and ensures timely and accurate payment. Adheres to and advises University departments on State and Federal rules and regulations and University policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions based on careful analysis and thoughtful judgments.
- Computer skills in spreadsheet applications, personal computing networks, and internet software.
- Ability to work effectively under stress and high levels of activity.
- Accounts Payable experience.
