Job DescriptionRepair and Tool Technicians are responsible for the evaluation and repair of small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. This position involves making equipment recommendations and ensuring units are maintained. Technicians work in stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers. In stores, technicians provide service to customers, including writing contracts and invoices, checking equipment operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed.
They are also responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non-store locations, technicians ensure units are repaired, tested for quality, cleaned, and returned to the store of origin. Technicians must have thorough knowledge of all tools and manage the tool inventory effectively, maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
