Graduate Research Assistant

2 temporary hourly-intermittent graduate student research assistant positions in Multiplier ORCA Grant

Job Description:

Perform research for Multiplier ORCA Grant
• Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist fellow students and citizen scientists in field sample identification, collection, and recording.
  • Prepare samples for processing and/or shipping to lab.
  • Assist with creation of database and/or Story Map connecting field observations with genetic sequencing data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Wage/Salary: $849/month based on 10 hours worked/week at 0.25 FTE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates current enrollment in Psychology, Geography and Environmental Resources, Biology, or other related majors.
  • Knowledge of statistics and/or GIS, and willingness to work in the field.
