POSITION:Lecturer in Geography & Environmental Resources. The Geography & Environmental Resources Program invites applications for a pool of part-time lecturer applicants from candidates qualified to teach undergraduate geography and environmental resources courses. Because program needs vary from semester to semester, applicants are encouraged to identify any of the following areas of coursework they would be qualified to teach in: introductory and upper-division undergraduate courses in human geography, physical geography (including a lab course), GIS/geospatial technology, environmental resources, and sustainability.
Candidates interested in teaching more advanced courses should indicate the range and depth of their relevant professional training.
A Ph.D. in Geography, Environmental Studies, or Environmental Science is preferred. An M.A. or M.S. in Geography, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, or related disciplines will be considered with evidence of strong teaching or fieldwork experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Evidence of impressive undergraduate teaching and a strong record of fieldwork.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package. Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range
2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. Salary rates for California State University Lecturers (Academic Year) can be found in the schedules linked below.
