Position Summary

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Student Leadership Engagement and Belonging.

Start Date

Position available on or after September 1, 2025 and ending on or before May 29, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Job Description / Duties
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and assessment of leadership development programs such as workshops, seminars, retreats, and speaker series.
  • Assist in designing and presenting leadership-related content to diverse student groups.
  • Collaborate with campus departments and student organizations to promote leadership opportunities.
  • Maintain program documentation, materials, and schedules in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Conduct research on best practices in leadership development to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Support marketing efforts including flyers, social media, and website updates.
  • Track participation and prepare summary reports on program outcomes.
  • Attend team meetings and provide input for strategic planning and evaluation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Enrollment in a graduate program at Stanislaus State, preferably in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles or training in leadership theory and practice.
    • Proven experience in developing and delivering educational or developmental programs.
    • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
    • Knowledge of leadership development models (e.g., Social Change Model, Emotionally Intelligent Leadership).
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
    • Post‑baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Salary Range

$16.50 per hour.
