Temporary hourly‑intermittent student assistant position available in the Safety and Risk Management.
Start DatePosition available on or after February 9, 2026 and ending on or before May 22, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description / Duties- Front desk duties including answering phones, responding to emails, and receiving walk‑ins.
- Pick up, distribute mail and make on‑campus deliveries as needed.
- Create and update spreadsheets and databases.
- Compose correspondence, type letters, and memos, often confidential in nature.
- Heavy data entry, filing, and clerical projects.
- Filing, shredding, scanning and copying documents as needed.
- Preparation of training materials such as copies, collate, staple, folder preparation, etc.
- Perform office flu hygiene prevention (dusting, sanitizing).
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Driving may be required to carry out assigned tasks.
- Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to identify and solve standard problems and refer more complex problems to appropriate staff.
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post‑baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
$16.90 per hour.
