System Engineer

The Engineering division of Randstad Professional, Leaders Search and Selection  – specializing in the recruitment and selection of middle, senior, and top management – is currently seeking, on behalf of a key client in the  Aerospace & Defense  sector, a:

SYSTEM ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Management:  Capture, analyze, derive, and manage system requirements; ensure end-to-end traceability and validation evidence.
Architecture Design:  Define system and subsystem architectures; produce Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and interface specifications.
MBSE Modeling:  Model operational concepts, scenarios, and behaviors using MBSE (SysML/UML) in tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody, or System Composer.
V&V

Activities:

Plan and support integration, verification, and validation (V&V); author test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
System Integration:  Coordinate integration of HW/SW/equipment; execute lab and field tests; analyze results and issue formal reports.
Configuration Control:  Maintain control of documents, models, baselines, and changes (ECR/ECO); manage version control (Git/SVN).
Technical Documentation:  Produce clear documentation in English and Italian (SRS/SSS/SSDD, ICD, installation, test evidence).

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work with multidisciplinary teams; participate in design/maturity reviews and KPI-driven deliveries.
Quality & Compliance:  Apply standards (ISO 9001, EN 9100; awareness of MIL-STD-810/461/1472); operate in compliance with HSE, information security, and export-control requirements.

Skills and

Education:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems, Electronic, Telecommunications, Computer, or related Engineering.

Experience:

Proven track record in systems engineering (requirements, architecture, V&V) for complex electronic, avionics, or C4I systems.
Documentation

Skills:

Ability to author high-quality English/Italian technical specs with disciplined configuration management.
Technical

Skills:

Hands-on integration/test skills and use of standard lab instrumentation; strong troubleshooting and defect management.
Networking:  Familiarity with networks and data exchange (Ethernet, routers/switches/firewalls; ASTERIX/ADatP standards are beneficial).

Soft Skills:

Strong communication, stakeholder collaboration, planning, and time management.

Languages:

Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).

Plus

Skills:

Knowledge of aerospace/defense standards: ARP
4754A/ARP
4761; awareness of DO‑178C/DO‑254 life cycles.

Experience with MBSE/Requirements tools (DOORS, Cameo, Magic Draw, IBM Rhapsody, MATLAB/Simulink).

Experience with distributed simulation (HLA/DIS) and interoperability standards (ASTERIX, ADatP‑3/35).
COMSEC/TEMPEST fundamentals.
KPI dashboards, project governance, risk management, and corrective actions.
INCOSE certification (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP) or PMP; familiarity with ALM (RTC/Jira) or PLM (SAP/Teamcenter) tools.
