Must work Christmas Eve or Christmas Day AND New Year's Eve or New Year's Day

Required to float to other cardiac stepdown units as needed

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780-$1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi

• BLS and ACLS certifications (required for healthcare jobs)

• NIH Stroke Scale certification

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or acute care nursing

• Ability to pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) tests (minimum score 80%)

• Flexible availability for scheduling, including weekends and holidays

• Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months

• Compliance documents due 7 days before start date

• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients (nurse-to-patient ratios 1:2 to 1:4)

• Monitor, assess, and document patient care using Epic EMR

• Float to other stepdown units within the hospital as needed

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Maintain scheduling flexibility and fulfill holiday/weekend requirements

• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training

• Adhere to hospital policies, including mask requirements for unvaccinated staff
